Who We Are

You need someone on your side to help you navigate risk management and insurance, and that’s what we do. We aren’t in the business of selling an insurance product. With over 50 years of business, Charlesworth Consulting is here to problem solve and advocate for you.

  • A grand, historic building with large arched windows is reflected in a calm pool of water. In front, a group of fountains sprays water into the air against a backdrop of a partly cloudy sky. The beige facade of the building contrasts with the blue sky and water.
  • A bronze statue of a Native American on horseback overlooks the skyline of Kansas City. The cityscape features a mix of modern and historic buildings under a partly cloudy sky. The statue is perched on a stone pedestal surrounded by a grassy area.

This Isn’t Our First Rodeo

Our History

Our history dates back to 1977 when Art Charlesworth took the insurance world by storm, founding Charlesworth & Associates, L.C. His business focused on consulting without selling any insurance products, a concept we still adhere to today. In the 1980s, three of Art’s children joined the family-run business, and when Art retired in 2000, those three children — James, Bob, and Connie — took over the business to carry on the family tradition.

As the business grew, it was apparent group benefit consulting was becoming increasingly important to clients and consulting services in that line of business was critical. In 2001, we formed Charlesworth Benefits, L.C. Knowing collaboration and a streamlined approach was key, we merged both businesses in 2017 to create Charlesworth Consulting.

In 2020, we expanded further and opened an office in Dallas, Texas.
